What is a sport pilot license?

You must be at least 17 years old and complete a minimum of 20 hours of flight training. This includes instruction with a certified flight instructor, solo flight time, passing a written knowledge exam, and successfully completing a practical flight test. One of the most appealing aspects of the Sport Pilot certificate is that you do not need an FAA medical certificate — a valid U.S. driver’s license is all that is required to get started.

With a Sport Pilot License, you may fly recreationally with one passenger in small aircraft during daylight hours in good weather conditions. While it is designed for personal and recreational use, it provides everything needed to experience the freedom of flight in a straightforward and attainable way.

Sport to Private Pilot Upgrade License

This 'bridge' course is designed for sport pilots ready to expand their privileges. It focuses on the knowledge required for private pilot certification. Training is tailored to each students prior experience making the transition efficient and cost effective.

Private Pilot Program

Earn your wings and become a private pilot!

Students will fly 4 hours and receive up to 3 hours of ground instruction per day. You will have unlimited use and access to study materials necessary to complete your flight training. Lodging is also available with our partner Aviation Resorts who will coordinate your stay while training with us at AvCerts.

Expand your skillset and become an Instrument Rated Pilot!

Fly 4 hours and receive 3 hours of ground instruction daily while broadening your skills as a private pilot. Gain unlimited access to our study materials available for completion of your instrument rating. Lodging available through our partner Aviation Resorts.

Use of Training Aircraft
Aircraft Renters Insurance
Simulator Training
Flight Instruction required to complete course

Applicants must be 17 years old and hold a Private Pilot Certificate
*For list pricing, applicants must have completed 50 Hours of Cross Country Time required for receiving an Instrument Rating. If time building is necessary ask one of our instructors how you can receive a pro-rated package for building your flight time.

Commercial Flight Program

Take the next step and become a Professional Pilot!

You will fly 4 hours per day and master your craft! Pilots will also receive up to 2 hours of ground instruction per day to prepare for your Commercial check ride. Block times can be purchased to help you build time towards your commercial minimums if needed, contact our team to help set you up for success! Lodging is available through our partnership with Aviation Resorts.

Use of Training Aircraft

Aircraft Renters Insurance

Flight Instruction required to complete course

Ground Instruction (Classwork)

Pilot examination covered with the cost of admission

Applicants must be 18 years old

*For list pricing, applicants must be within 30 hours of the 250 Total Flight Hours required for receiving a Commercial Pilot Certificate. If time building is necessary ask one of our instructors how you can receive a pro-rated package for building your flight time.

Certified Flight Instructor

CFI

As a Certified Flight Instructor you can build your hourly minimums for airline and corporate positions quickly. However, if that is not your goal being a CFI can be an extremely rewarding career on its own. You will be challenged by utilizing the insights and skills you've learned along your path in aviation to train and instruct the next generation of aviators.

CFI Flight Training Package includes:

Course completion in 15 days or less
All candidates will attend a 5 day formal ground course in preparation for CFI check ride. This course is designed to be an in depth review of what you already know, in essence we will teach you how to teach and become a professional instructor.
Candidates will fly in with an instructor in preparation for the CFI check ride
Copy of the Federal Aviation Regulations and Aeronautical Information Manual (FAR/AIM)
Applicants must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate

Certified Flight Instructor (Instrument) CFII

Level up as an instructor and earn your instrument instructor rating! Teach other pilots to achieve their instrument ratings and hone your skills flying by reference by to instruments.

CFII Flight Training Package include:

include Course completion 5 days or less
include All CFI's will receive 1 day of ground instruction in-preparation for check ride
Candidates will fly with an instructor, and spend time in a simulator in preparation for the CFII check ride
Package Copy of the Federal Aviation Regulations and Aeronautical Information Manual (FAR/AIM)
Applicants must hold a Certified Flight instructor (CFI) Certificate
